If you forget to renew, your domain will enter a “Grace Period” (usually 30 days for most extensions). During this time, your website and emails will stop working, but you can still renew the domain at the regular price. However, we strongly recommend renewing early to avoid any interruption to your business operations.
Once the Grace Period ends, the domain enters a “Redemption Phase.” At this stage, the registry charges a significantly higher fee to recover the domain. If it is not recovered, the domain is eventually released back to the public, where anyone else can buy it. To protect your brand, always ensure your contact email is up to date so you receive our reminders.
